We hope everyone is enjoying your summer and you’ve had a chance to visit the Grand Colorado on Peak 8 (GC8) recently. There is a lot of exciting stuff going on at Peak 8 with the re-grading of Ski Hill Road project wrapping up and the construction of Building 3 at GC8. It’s hard not to be completely focused on the exciting construction taking place, but the Operations team is also continuing to look for ways to add new features to Buildings 1 and 2 to make the vacation experience even better.
We have recently added a grass area and speakers to the Courtyard Grilling Patio located between Buildings 1 and 2 off the second floor. There are six gas grills and plenty of seating, so you can have a great BBQ and take in the spectacular views! We’ve also added new balcony furniture to all the Colorado Master units, a larger table and four sitting chairs. This provides additional seating for our largest residences. Another addition is for our furry friends. You will find a fenced-in temporary dog relief area on the corner of Building 1 above the pools, near the ski slopes. Please ask our staff how to find this location along with our other suggested dog relief and walking locations. We appreciate our dog owners for respecting the resort and our neighbors by picking up after your dogs.
There is also an update from the Breckenridge Mountain Masters Association (BMMA) regarding the shuttle service. The BMMA operates our shuttle service and recently announced that effective September 10, 2018, the shuttle will begin providing service to owners on Day Use to all 18-designated BMMA shuttle stops. In addition, the BMMA shuttle will no longer be available to owners on Day Use while the gondola is operating. Exceptions will be made for those with physical limitations, or other reasonable circumstances. Owners on Day Use are encouraged to take the gondola, as it is often faster than the shuttle, since shuttle has to make multiple stops; this also reduces traffic in Breckenridge and is better for the environment. Owners on Day Use are also encouraged to drop off belongings and passengers at the resort before parking at the gondola lot to make your Day Use experience as enjoyable as possible. Please remember that shuttle driver gratuities are greatly appreciated, and we encourage owners to visit locations that are part of the BMMA, such as Sevens restaurant, Robbie’s Tavern, Soothe Spa, and Infinity Spa, whenever possible. Your patronage of these businesses helps to keep your BMMA dues as low as possible due to the civic assessment that is generated, which in turn keeps your resort HOA dues lower.
