BGV Spreads Holiday Cheer to Locals in Need

BGV Spreads Holiday Cheer

This holiday season, BGV employees donated their time, money, and energy in order to raise funds for Summit County locals in need with their 2ndAnnual BGV Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program. This year, over 55 BGV employees and/or departments donated money and presents in order to give back to less fortunate neighbors and to spread the holiday cheer.

“It’s heartwarming to see how willing our BGV staff is when it comes to helping others. We truly care about our community and are thrilled that the program’s reach more than tripled in just one year. This speaks volumes about the BGV family and our commitment to support those in need,” said Kimberly Tramontana, BGV’s Vice President of Operations.

This giving program was started by Kimberly and a few other employees last year in 2014 as a result of their compassion and empathetic outlook on life. One BGV department decided to use their “employee reward money” to help others, instead of rewarding themselves with a bonus. When other departments caught wind of this idea, it spread like wildfire lighting up everyone’s hearts. 22 other departments quickly joined in on the movement and the Annual BGV Adopt-A-Family Program officially kicked-off, impacting the lives of 69 community members.

This year, BGV was able to impact the lives of 208 community members in need, triple the amount of people they were able to reach last year. BGV is looking forward to carrying on the philanthropic company culture with an even more successful 3rd Annual Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program next year.
